Toto Puppet for the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility

This puppet was made for a performance of 'The Wiz' with the inmates of the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility. The production was made possible through an organization called Rehabilitation Through the Arts whose mission statement is as follows: "RTA believes in the profoundly rehabilitative effect that engaging in the arts has on men and women behind bars. Through creative expression in theatre, dance, voice, writing and visual art, prisoners learn social and cognitive skills that act as a springboard to education, family reconciliation and ultimately, successful re-integration into community life."
